Dan, Again, I am new at this but I just put my L306 back on my 140 & it was a bear to do by myslef. All I can tell you is what I did & it worked like it did when I took it off. Looking down on the deck, all the blade pullys turn counter-clockwise. My mower doesn't have casters, it has a big spring that mounts to the engine block & four dome head pins. Anyway that was the hard part. I hooked the drive belt to my right angle PTO as follows: coming off the top of the pully you twist the belt to fit into the pully below the axle that directs the belt to the top groove of the center pully on the deck then back the a pully beneath the first pully & back to the PTO pully. My setup has a idler pully with a big sprind that keeps the tension on the belt. I hope that makes sense. If I send you pictures it will take a while to download unless I can figure out how to scan them without creating such a big file. Let me know if you still want picutures.
