Walt, You have been provided good advice thus far, the 584 will ceretainly do what you want to do. But older/simpliar/cheaper Farmalls will also work well for mowing and hauling horse refuse. With the money you save by buying an older tractor you can: restore a complete piece of junk, buy tillage/planting/harvesting equipment, MORE tractors! more land which will require MORE tractors! Remember two things about Red stuff: one is not enough and the "industry standard" for number of tractors required is 1 for every two acres up to ten acres and then at least one per additional five acres.
