Have you done all the tuneup stuff? You didn't say, so if not, replace the spark plug wires (or just swap #2 and #3) and see if the fouling on #3 stops. Try hotter plugs or a different brand. My M was fouling Champion D17's so I switched to D21's and no more fouling. Others have said that they have had problems with Champions and have switched to a different brand and solved the problem.
