About year and a half ago, I rebuilt the continental the engine and reinstalled the roosa master pump. I'm pretty sure I timed it correctly per the owners manual. I have been working on restoring the rest of the tractor since then, and haven't had it together enough to try starting it till recently. She doesn't quite want to start, so I'm rechecking everything, including the pump timing. When I removed the little window on the side of the pump, fuel just came pouring out, far more than just draining the pump, more like draining the whole tank! The main fuel valve was shutoff. I'm guessing that the fuel might be coming from the fuel return line. Is this normal, or is there something wrong with my pump?? Thanks for any help you can offer!
