Well....looks like I will be replacing the front main seal on my 49 SA. Have a puller etc as well as the IT manual and some reproduction SA manuals. Appears that the pulley is pressed on and not held in place by a bolt. Is that correct? And if so, what holds it in place? Manuals say it is "pressed" on. I am trying to imagine what that looks like, as I do not intend to pull the motor, and picture myself trying to force this thing back in place with a carefully placed bottle jack or port-a-power. Sign me hopeful. I have looked in the archives and found some useful information but nothing very detailed. Any information that might save me some time or aggravation would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
