If this is connected right remove No1 sparkplug near the radiator and bring that piston to TDC on the compression stroke. Hold your thumb over the plug hole while a helper hand cranks the engine until you feel pressure against your thumb.
Once you feel pressure drop a plastic straw on top of the piston and watch the straw rise as the engine is slowly cranked. When the straw quits rising you should be at TDC on the compression stroke. Then remove the distributor cap and see where the rotor is pointing. You need to provide more info as to whether you have fire to your plugs, getting gas to the carburetor. Saying it won't start isn't much help. Hal

It's all good. You can't watch them all. This would be a great time to rant about how if everybody used the new forum there would be no need for people to start a new thread just to get noticed. All you would have to do is post and it would go straight to the top no matter how many years old it was...but I will only rant that much :lol:
