Farmallhal; I was at a tractor boneyard last summer near Evansville, Wisc. and on the 'showroom floor' they had a pair of single steps from an 806. Just bought one to see if it would bolt up easily. Yup, to the cover plate (pump mounting flange assembly 370 890 R11 slightly below and ahead of the running board) on the left side of my Farmall 340. I don't recall if the 240 has this torque tube plate. It just needed two longer bolts and four washers. Several emails and a couple phone calls and they set the other step aside for me. $15.00 per booster step. Wonderful!!
