Al, I looked at the CaseIH website and I think I saw the item you mentioned as it was a plate on the left side held on with (10) 3/8" bolts. If this is what you are referring too there is nothing similar on the Farmall 240. I happened to be on my way home from town this morning and took a route I haven't for some time and saw a Farmall 240 parked at a building that was being built. I stopped and looked it over real good and they had a step (farmerized and welded) to the foot rest. I wouldn't do that but there are some bolts which hold the foot rest and something could probably be made up and utilize those bolts for attachment which I think would be secure and supportive enough. There is nothing on the side of the torque tube which I think I could easily attach a step too like on your 340. I picked up the battery cover this morning and slick as a new one on the outside. I will need to clean up the inside a little in a blast cabinet and put some primer on it until I am painting the sheet metal. The body shop primed the outside after the repair so we are good to go with that part. Thanks much and hope all is well, Hal.

Originally the company was called the Cleveland Motor Plow Company which began in 1912, then the Cleveland Tractor Company (1917) and finally Cletrac.
