I recently rescued a Farmall H from a neighbors field, and after finally getting it running, I have a few questions about the year. All but two of the stampings end in an "I", indicating a 39, with the rear frame cover and pulley assembly stamped "P" for a 46. The serial plate also says 46 with fbh230640x1, but looks to have been tampered with. The two "P" stamped pieces definitely look different as the rear frame cover doesn't quite line up perfectly with the older style rear frame and paint is non existent. Looking at the style and cast stampings, I consider it to be a 39 and am wondering if anyone knows if it's possible to have a new serial plate made. I also have another H that I restored with my grandpa a few years back that is stamped "J" but has the features that point to a 39 and have been told this would be an early 40. This H is completely missing its serial plate so a new one for that would be nice. Thank you
