I'm almost afraid to post now after being taken to task about my electical knowledge, but that is one reason I stick with 6V... My Super H seems to have a lot of "slop" in the rotor...not so much side-to-side, but as it rotates...ditto for my Cub, so that does not seem unusual to me at least. The side-to-side is a bit disconcerting, but the relative evenness of the wear on the cap makes me think that is not the problem. I would look at two other things...governor and possible fuel starvation... Check the fuel system from tank to main jet for rust, trash, etc. that limits fuel flow. Secondly, does the engine respond normally to mevements of the throttle...when you open her up without load does the engine rev up freely? If it dies without load, suspect fuel..it may take a few minutes to drain the float bowl. If it dies under load and the governor does not open up to compensate for the increased load, suspect the governor. If those two check out, dig further into the distributor situation. As was pointed out earlier, I don't know everything (anything?), so others will certainly have better suggestions...BB

How can I explain the sensation and exhilaration I feel when I turn the key and hear the engine come to life (most
