Thanks Jim... not being a mechanic I never thought of an engine stopping at the same places all the time. What I could see without a light, the ring gear didn't look bad. Will shine a light in there and see how it looks. Don't have a Dremmel, but do have a die grinder and air compessor. I imagine he will install whatever is the latest replacement drive for that starter... didn't know there was a better design. I've never had this guy work on anything before, but have heard nothing but good things about his work. I have coffee with some guys that have old tractors and they all seem to use him.
