Thanks for the response Todd.
I haven't seen any A/B/C cranks that were tapped yet. It seems like the force the jaw puller would put on the top threads (where it would seat to pull the pulley off next time) would mess the threads up anyway.
If I can drill and tap the end of the crank, I would prefer to just find another pulley that was not press fit and use the bolt to hold it on.
