I am looking to purchase several seed plates to fit a Farmall Super A-140 Planter system. I found a lot of 30 plates on ebay, and they are 2 each of 15 different plates. After the shipping costs, they would be about $3.15 per plate, which is the best deal I've found.
My question is that I have no idea if these are Pea Plates, Okra Plates, Watermelon, or Corn. They listed the plate numbers, but I haven't been able to find out what they plant. I have been trying to research them, and have found where they correspond to the sizes of seed, but nothing about the type of seed. It only seems like they only made Corn plates for these planters.
I used to own a Cole Planter, and it actually had Peas, Corn, Watermelon, Cantaloupe, etc. marked on the plate.
Someone please help me so I can figure out if these plates are something I can use, or if they are some that aren't as useful. A quick guide showing the numbers and type of seed would be nice. I have searched and haven't found one.

Today's Featured Article - Oil Bath Air Filters - by Chris Pratt. Some of us grew up thinking that an air filter was a paper thing that allowed air to pass while trapping dirt particles of a particles of a certain size. To top that off, you have a cup with oil in it ("why would you want to lubricate your carburetor?"). On closer examination (and some reading in a AC D-14 service manual), I found out that this is a pretty ingenious method of cleaning the air in the tractor's intake tract.
