First disconnect the fuel line at the carburetor and check the flow. You should get a solid stream of gas about the size of a pencil out of the line. However if it just dribbles out, check/clean the sediment bowl and screen. Also check inside the tank for a bit of trash caught in the tank outlet above the sediment bowl.
If the fuel flow is good to the carb, unscrew the fuel inlet nut from the carb and check/clean the screen on the backside of the inlet nut.
If the inlet screen is clear you'll now need to go inside the carburetor. Fortunately you can drop the bowl and check the innards without removing the carb from the engine. Simply remove the 4 screws that hold the bowl to the throttle body and drop the bowl free. Check inside the bowl for dirt, etc. Also check the float for free movement and good fuel flow when in the down position.
