Just split my Super A to change out the cracked block after a 10 year rest in the back field. When I pulled the throw-out bearing, what I see is not what I expected. Instead of a bearing there is what looks like a "carbon" bushing of some kind. Nothing moves in the cast housing but there is a grease fitting that looks like it greases that "carbon" bushing. Is that bushing supposed to turn like a bearing type throw-out bearing does? Or do the clutch fingers just ride on that carbon bushing? I think it is supposed to turn but I thought I"d ask you guys. I have to replace it because there is a chip on the surface that the clutch fingers ride on. When looking through the parts here, I see that there is a standard type greaseable or non-greaseable bearing available. Does this replace the "carbon" type bushing that I found in mine? Thanks in advance for any insights anyone might have.
