Working on my Super A, replaced the seal on the bottom of the gear box, really didn't have too much play in the sterring wheel so only replaced the seal. Also couldn't remove the cast plug at the end of the steering shaft (another story). I filled the gear box with oil and it all ran out a couple of days later. What can I put in it that is thicker than 90W? Need something thick as bee honey. Considered just filling with grease but don't like the idea.
To me that seal is one of the most critical on the tractor in that it has a whole quart of oil sitting on top of it. All others are just splash seals.
