H Burned up

My cousin went out to rake some hay with the H that we had left in the field. When he got there he found it charred and smokey. Called the fire department and they came out to look at it and could only figure that it was struck by lightning. I find it kind of hard to believe. Has anyone ever experienced something like this? I would hate to think that someone could deliberately set fire to it but that's kind of what I'm thinking.
Oh well looks like we have another resto project on our hands......
