A JD 694 ,JD1250 plateless would work.You dont have to plant 6 rows(unless you really want to),you can plant any #of rows-that 6 row combine can pick any # of planted rows-2;4;6;8'12;16,or whatever-all that matters is a good,straight guessrow.I plant 4 rows-3row combine.My neighbor plants 6 rows-4 row combine; another neighbor plants 6 and uses a 8 row combineseveral folks around now are planting 8 rows but use a 6 row combine.
