Well, now you're into territory that I don't know a whole lot about. Here's what I have learned:
If you have a type B injector pump, (It will have a B on the serial # plate, an A pump will have an A cast into the side of the Injector pump) the transfer fump will have a problem with the scavenging system to re-use the extra fuel in the pump. The fix is to tap the hole and put a set screw in the transfer pump. I'm betting this is the hole you have your finger over. Hopefully someone with lots more expirence on the subject can confirm what I just told you.
