I'm in the process of reassembling the PTO attachment (PTO only, no belt pulley). The splined PTO shaft is supported by two ball bearings, separated by a spacer bushing. The bolt that screws into the inner end of the shaft keeps the shaft, bearings, spacer, and gear together. Now to my question. What keeps the ball bearings from being pushed inward (i.e. towards the front of the tractor)? Is it only the press fit of the outer rings of the bearings in the cast housing? Thanks, Hendrik
