I have a cracked steering pedestal on my H, we were able to weld it up for now but it isn"t pretty. I"ve found someone with a "53 SH pedestal and wanted to make sure it would fit.
I beleive Nebraska Cowman told me that pedestals on tractors older than serial number 15,698 used pedestals with a different base. Mine being a "41 and the serials that year started at 52,387 I shouldn"t have the older base.
I realize my tractor had the starter button behind the pedestal and push rod going through the pedestal, and a newer style would have a button mounted on the side, I"m fine with that change, didn"t like the starter buttons near the floor.
