Where I live, in western Canada, the WD-9 was very popular. They are not hard to find at all. As I posted earlier, I was at an auction near here last Sunday where 7 or 8 WD-9s, SWD-9s and 650s sold. The final bid on all of them was around $650(Canadian dollars). Most of them ran. Parts tractors are as common and quite often get bought for scrap price (and get scrapped too!). Around here they are an unpopular restoration choice mainly due to their commonality. Every second farm ran one at one time. That doesn't mean that people should not restore one though. My father started farming with several of them, long after they were out of date. He cursed them then. But now as he gets older he talks about having one around again, for old times sake. Just misses the sound. By the way, diesel 9s outnumber gas 9s around 10 to 1 around here. People complain about the fuel consumption of the gas. Michael
