This is the first Farmall C I have worked on and I"ve found a lot of difference on several items between a Super C and a C. For instance the brakes. The previous owner apparently never believed in any maintenance and rode the brake bands down to where even the rivets were gone. I"ve turned down the "drums" installed new bands. I marked the arm against the shaft and reinstalled it in the same grove. Now, I can"t figure out how to adjust the bands. I have no manual. When I get the bands as tight as possible the pedal is still very loose. But, the spring device cannot be turned w/o turning the whole device which means removal of the pin. Tightening up the device means that the pin cannot be re-installed due to mis-alignment. Help me if you can, I"m lost.
