I rebuilt my starter that was the original one it came with.New bushings,brushes,Sandblasted starter,retaped the field poles,I even sprayed the starter on the inside with the "Glyptal"insulating paint.
You can even buy the reproduction Delco tag for the starter and generator,if you want !!!
If you want "NEW".Rebuild the stuff you got.There are people,companys who can do this.(I can do this.)
If your starter and generator are working right now,there is ABSOLUTELY NO REASON to replace them !!!!
