Hello everyone, I have a question on a Super A engine. Last fall I was driving my Super A up an incline and all of a sudden it gave a sort of Wooh and white smoke started pooring out of the exhaust. I was just near the driveway, Parked the tractor in my barn and literally haven"t looked at it until this weekend. Drained the oil and needless to say there was significant water in it. Drained the Radiator but only found water there. No oil. Next I removed the head to visually inspect the gasket. i"m not an expert but I do have mechanical exp. I could not see an obvious issue with the head gasket although based on what the engine did I was assuming/hoping it was just the gasket. Is there any obvious way to know the gasket is bad? Are they tipically broken in a spot etc? The pistons have some building up on them but look fine to me. There is slight play in them (1 or 2 MM) which I assume is to be expected due to age (never rebuilt) Any suggestions further other than just buy new gaskets and reassemble I would appreciate it. Eventually I would love to rebuild the unit but now is not the time, I only use the tractor for joy riding or sickle bar mowing. nothing major anymore. Thank you for suggestions/help

The General GG was made by the Cleveland Tractor Company (Cletrac) of Cleveland, Ohio. Originally the company was called the Cleveland Motor Plow Company which began in 1912, then the Cleveland Tractor Company (1917) and finally Cletrac.
