To add to the confusion -- According to Guy Fay, there is little difference between IH 50 and IH 2150. To further the confusion, IH 50 was used from 1936-mid 1949 when it was replaced by IH 1102B. IH 201 replaced 1102B in 1958 with the introduction of the 460/560, etc. IH 2150 replaced IH 201 in 1961 with the introduction of the 404/504. This can be documented by looking it up on the WI Historical web site. I don't think 1102B and 201 can be mixed. 50 and 2150 can be mixed. One other opinion I have that I have stated several times on this forum and the Paint and Bodywork Forum: Only an opinion, but you cannot get the original colors anymore because enviornmental changes have forced the paint companies to change the formulation, thus changing the color slightly. Bottom line is, just use 2150, or if you have a pre 1949 1/2 tractor use IH 50, I doubt if there is much difference. Don't try to compare it with farm store paint -- no one knows what that color is, probably even the ones who mix it. OR, if you wish you can have the paint dealer experiment with the toners as he mixes until you come up with a color you like. I have done this to remove some of the orange tint in the 2150, but it is hard to tell the difference.
