Yeah, I'm with you on believing it really doesn't matter, and you can't get the exact color as it came out of the factory anyway - In fact, I'm sure the factory colors probably differed slightly even within the same paint codes.
I always go back to the fact that these are tractors, not sports cars. I think the original intent was to make them red, and that's about it.
I can't imagine they were doing any kind of deep spectral analysis to ensure each and every tractor was exactly the same as the last.
HOWEVER, with all that being said - If I paint mine with 50, and read later somewhere that it was supposed to be 2150 - or vice versa - it'll drive me insane. Even IF the colors are essentially the same.
