I really think this part is right. It is okay on the top and bottom of the spectrum. Engine speed just don't seem to be anything that I can set anywhere in between. If you think this problem can be caused from not having the tang in the slot I'll try redoing the connection. I did rebuild the carb so it's possible. Thanks for the help Jim
