RedBob, Check the float setting carefully. Too low and it will do this. Too high and not enough gas to give full power. Make sure the needle/seat shuts off the gas too. The float might have a pinhole leak in it causing it to not ride on top of the gas in the bowl. If the float "sloshes" when shaking it, put it in a pan of water and heat it on the stove (or on a Coleman stove outside would be more PC with the wife) to force the gas out, solder up the hole and go. Of course you could always replace the float too. If the float is cork, I'd try a replacement, but if you can't find one, you can let it sit out until it dries out and then coat it with model airplane "dope". It's fuel proof and the cork should not get saturated again. Good luck, Phil Auten
