I did it on my 1951 H last year. After removing the pedal(s) on a side, I pulled the shaft until it just was pass the seal on the side that I had the pedal off. Then you can pop the seal out real easy. Then I pushed the shaft back and stuck on the new seal. Did the same thing on the other side and had no problems with the seal rubber trying to get inverted on the first seal installed.
