I've bought seal kits from here, and local at the dealer.. only about 3-4$ difference many times.
so far I've never had a seal or gasket issue between the two.
I will say that I like CNH packaged lift piston orings better than some of the no names, and as far as ford n hyd pumps, i have seen issues in gaskets that were not the same thickness as oem causing problems.. but it's rare.
the only *real* issue I've ever come across was steering gearbox thrust bearings... I got some chinese ( timken !!! ) bearings and the cage was the wrong profile, so as correct preload was set, the cage would crush.. went thru 2 sets of these crap bearings before I switched to another supplier / manufacturer and got some bearings that were correct. ( these ar ehte worm thrust bearings used commonly in the 47-64 and possibly later manual steering boxes )
I was surprised to see made in china printed on the timken bearing boxes.. and not surprised that they crushed. I noticed this on a steering rebuild on a 4 cyl 2000 I did earlier this year. had that box apart about 3 times trying to get it adjusted.. couldn't figure out where the play and binding was till i noticed the bearings kept crushing and cages popping :(
figures.. and I'm no newb when it comes to a ford steering box.. but them dern cheap bearings were perplexing...

Sadly though all his efforts seemed to be a waste of time and money as he still couldn''t get the temperamental old thing to run correctly!! If i said that this was a little frustrating for him that would be "conservative" in fact the problem had reduce
