That pump is also used in piggy back installations and then the plate comes off the back and another pump goes on there and that would be the discharge for that pump. No o-ring needed on yours. If you still have pump off, put aux valve on demand, apply air pressure to port in rear frame and listen for leaks, should be none or just a tad if any. With aux in neutral it should blow through. May have a blown sealing ring on rear cover.
