Bear in mind that some of these old tractors, especially those produced during WWII, came with magneto ignition and no lights, battery or starter. When farmers upgraded the tractors to have these features, they often had to take what IH parts were in stock. You'll find serious variations in where some stuff was mounted, not only because the parts varied, but because it was often done by the farmer himself!
