We put a 153 in a Farmall B and rather than taking the engine apart we took the B flywheel and machined out the center and then made a large puck that pressed into the flywheel. Then in the puck we pressed in the original pilot bushing out of the crankshaft. Then we shortened and machined the input shaft to match what we had done. It actually worked out really well. I will say though in hindsight it would have been faster to place the crankshaft in the lathe and machine a hole for the pilot bushing. I guess we were trying not to spend money on gaskets.
