I'm looking for a sanity check on the price I'm about to pay for a '53 Super A. This is my first old tractor. After shipping it'll cost me $3000. It's a western tractor, rust free except the battery box. Appears to be a little used tractor, never restored but repainted and restickered some years ago. Complete including front/rear lights. All perfectly straight sheet metal except front grill. Runs and drives well. Comes with a 5' Woods underbelly mower in good shape and underbelly cultivator tines. Also has a two point set of lift arms (that I am unfamiliar with) on the back end and a set of cultivator tines for the rear. Has wheel weights all around. Only thing it needs is a set of tires all around. I'm estimating $300 for a set of tires. Am I low on this? I think a low-use, complete, straight, tight tractor is a better deal in the long run. My intention is to use it now for mowing, cultivating, and maybe blade work but have something nice enough to restore later. Think I'm paying too much? Thanks for any ideas. David Anderson
