1946 -A Farmall

I have a 1946 A farmall that use to start on the first or second try . But the other day i was moving a hayrake down the road when the clamps broke on the left front wheel and itcame off and the hub hit the ground and the tractor died .I fooled with it about 1 hr and thought i had flooded it so i took the plugs out and they were badly fouled so i put new ones in and all i got was a couple of back fires and nothing else. WHAT could be wrong has it jumped time or what could it be THANKS
