Bill, The Super M had the hydraulic pump mounted between the timing gears and distributor, with steel lines running alongside the engine. That's the easiest way to tell. Otherwise they are pretty much the same unless yours has a TA and then that also makes it a Super (unless the TA was added later on). The engine in the Super M is also larger, but unless you are sure the engine has never been rebuilt or swapped, that could be misleading. Enjoy your Farmall, I love mine! Phil
