Been sitting here thinking. (I know, I know..) But the M&W dipsticks on eBay are $150, and the pet-cocks are a pain. I've noticed there is a 1" x 1" rounded cast boss on the side of the block, above the petcocks, and even with the top of the frame rail. Could a person drill and tap that, and insert a home-made dipstick? Is there something important right there, something rotating? Would it work? Anybody want to try it and let me know if it worked??
