I also have a question. We just bought a 424 Deisel and it runs great.......when you get it started! You have to hold down on the starter button and allow the engine to turn over for 60-90 seconds before it starts. The whole time it turns over it doesn't even hit....if it does it is very little. Once it hits, it spits and sputter just a little bit and starts up. WHile running it runs Perfect like a new tractor would until you shut the fuel off.
Right now the tractor is stripped down and has just been re-painted. We are about to change the filters and fluids, so I'd like to fix the starting problem. ANY SUGGESTIONS AS TO WHAT IS WRONG!?!???
