You are correct about the slop. I rebuild them by rebushing that hole makes them work like new again. I have a 5/8 end mill thats a couple thous under size after being sharpened then press a 5/8x1/2 brass bushing you can get at Lowes and other placeslube the shaft and fit it for the end play. Now you have throttle response sometims a new spring is needed also. You will like the results. Ive sent them all over and customers are always happy with the rsults.
