Andy, Just exactly how does this "thrust nut" work? I put a belt that turned out to be too short on the pulleys and tried to tighten the drive bolt. This "thrust nut" turned with it until it wedged and then I couldn't turn either. It appears to cause the fan to change position up and down, side to side. Is this the way it works? How do you get it to stay in one position while you tighten up the bolt? Incidentally, someone said on another post that the bolt head was 13/16. I don't think so: it appears to be slightly smaller. I haven't tried it yet, but I would guess a 25/32 or a 51/64. Certainly an odd size. 13/16 will turn the nut until tension and then you have to have the correct size or you'll strip it. RR
