why didnt you just give it a little hone clean up and remove piston from top? check to see if the piston skirt does not reach those breaks or even if it does , i would not be scared to reuse those sleeves if they arnt worn too much.looks like skirt dosnt. just grind a nice chamfer on the breaks and that engine will never know the difference. gotta do what you have to when parts are scarce. good luck. i sure dont know whats with these wd9's now that everybody wants one and 20-30 yrs ago couldnt give them away. lots went for scrape also. remember them as being called a big old clumsey tractor.
