I went out the bottom because the engine (if this one is used) will go into the engine shop and get line honed on the machine. It didn't really matter which way they went out. The sleeves were broke before the pistons came out, not from that process.
On the top sleeve picture I think you can see where the rings usually run. That is a touch above the broke areas. Can they magnaflux them and check for cracks? Since it looks like I have to spend $1000+ on bearings I don't want the rest of the engine to shell on me.
