Did you prime the pump first with a little oil??. Ya you can pull the plug but ya had best get a couple bags of oil dry first as it makes a huge mess not counting the lost oil. Do the over fill and start the tractor and run the engine up to around 1500-2000 and TURN the steering wheel to the left and keep doing this till she primes. With a new pump she should pick wright up . Had you primed the pump first she would have picked it up wright away . Just try again she should pick up in a min or so.
