Dave....I think you probably realize by now that while the Farmall A is a reliable old tractor, it has some limitations that make it less than desirable as a multi task tractor these days. The Ford N series was way ahead of their time, and are quite rliable. The fact you can go down to any implement dealer and buy implements for them, make them much more usable. They do have thier drawbacks, but are much more machine than an A. A Super A with a three point hitch would be a good choice, but even then, if you have hilly ground, I believe an N to be more stable. I have had an AC C, (similar to an A), and while it was a great tractor, I really like my little 2N. I have neighbors that have all sorts of antique iron, and for my place, there isn't one made before 1955 I'd trade for. I have a 5 foot brush Hog, a 6 foot finish mower, A post hole digger with a 12" auger, A back blade for snow plowing, and a 3-point scoop that is one of the handiest things you can have. I can swith from one implement to the other in 5 minutes. I'd still like to get another tractor or two cuz I like old stuff, and an IH A or AC CA are high on my list. But when it cmes to getting stuff done, I'll keep my N. Take Care, Steve

"Run in the house and get me a...."as I open th
