I have trouble with my Cub spark plugs failing while sitting, I assume from absorbing moisture. They look OK but aren't. I don't seem to have the problem on other tractors. Pull one and lay it on the head hooked to the wire and see if you can see a spark. Or just replace them. I pulled mine two miles one day trying to start it because I was too stubborn to change the plugs, which I always have on the shelf. I thought the ones in it were too new, but they were bad.
