I noticed on pages 60/61 of Guy Fay's "Letter Series" book the new H had the crank handle stored on the shaft, with a cotter pin holding it in place. My handle and my shaft both have cotter pin holes. Betcha that was the one official place to store it, and with electric start a man just didn't need it.
Now my problem; my 1950 H will not charge unless I jumper from the spade terminals on the Delco 10SI alternator, to hot. Then it charges just fine. But without the jumpers, she won't charge. What do I have to fix / replace? Thanks, guys.
