Newbie Quest of the day - tipping and flipping

Ok, for the newbie question of the day, have a 46 H with tricycle gear, pull behind rotary mower, farm has several slopes to it, imagine your legs buried in sand from the waist to the knees, the right knee slightly out farther, this gives somewhat of an idea of the contour of the land. Change in elevation from waist to low area between the knees is 60 feet. So if you think of the area around the knees will be mowing on a curve with slight angle on the side, unable to go straight up and down as the outside of the knees is a steep drop that the tractor would not make it back up. Also property line ends there. Also left knee, the drop off at the end of it is 40 feet almost straight down to creek. Alright, confusing enough? Question is, how to tell prior to, if tractor is close to flipping or tipping. Being on the seat with worn shock, spring and bushings, my butt starts to grab the seat covers at times going over an ant hill. (Ok mainly city boy mowing his dream here.) How would determine before you get into trouble what not to do or to do safely????? Anything to watch for, feel in the tractor, change in manner it handles, wheels not continual contact with the ground, does the front start to bounce if going uphill at to steep of an angle?
