Go get a D9 Caterpillar and start leveling! :-) Some terrain cannot be safely mowed with a wheeled tractor. If you cannot drive up it, then you should not be mowing it. I have seen people drive up a ridge and then mow down a steep area, but they had room at the bottom that was flat to turn around. Remeber Safety is more important than anything else. The point at which a tractor will tip or flip varies depending on rocks on the ground, wettness of the grass, amount of grass and junk on mower. You do not want to come close to this point. If the tractor was just sitting on a slope and not moving then it could probably sit at a 30 degree slope. If you are moving then it would become less than that depending on speed, smoothness of ground and other factors. After you drive the tractor enough on the level you will become comfortable with the stability of the tractor on the level and on slight slopes. At this point you become dangerous as you begin to experiment with going just a little bit farther each time. When the tractor goes over it will happen very quickly and sometimes without warning. I know, been there, done that, not fun, especially when Dad came home. Be safe.

He owned a small sawmill for sawing "baccer" sticks. The Super A was the powerplant. When I was old enough (7 or 8), I would get up early and be dressed to
