Use your 3/8 drive ratchet with an 8 inch extension. Put the flange nut in a short socket, stack the spring on top of it and CAREFULLY insert it through the frame, over the stud, and push and turn it on. Helps to have one of those head mounted spotlites. A dab of putty or silicon will help also.
